Jafar

Modeled a head bust of Jafar after watching the latest Aladdin trailer (although it has not resemblance to the real world actor) Thought I would give him a decent face rig to animate some expressions, more to come

Shows I worked on this year

Image
2018 has been a great year, I was fortunate enough to work on these great productions as a Rigger/CG Generalist and meet exceptional people along the way. I plan on pushing my skills to the next level in 2019 and looking forward to what the next year will bring! -B

First Tool in MEL/Python!

Image
After completing a CGWorkshops class in scripting and tool development, I have gained the skills to write my own scripts that will help speed up my workflows in modeling and rigging. After coming across Akin Bilgic's accurate displacement workflow; http://www.cggallery.com/tutorials/displacement/ I found his method for setting the displacement attributes seem to work the best when converting the zbrush sculpt to maya and vrays displacement shader. However, I didnt want to go through the tedious process of adding the right settings for every geometry object in my scene that needed displacement attributes added to them. So this UI will add all the nessesary attrubutes to each selected object, as well as add a vray shader with the displament node that allows the user to select the .exr file and attach the shader to the object.

Proud Astronomer - Wip

Some fresh new artwork I've been working on. Hes a talented astronomer that is quite proud of his findings. Still have ways to go as to fixing the model and adding shaders, jujst playing around with the lighting for now Based on a concept from Little Druid: http://www.gameartisans.org/portfolios/art.php?uid=5975&aw=4219

Alien Render Fun

Image
Based on a concept by Danik Tomyn , I brought back a zbrush sculpt Ive done some time ago to practice rendering. My main goal was to familiarize myself with displacment mapping with Vray, as well as playing around with the Vray fast SSS2 skin shader. Could have taken this further with the eyes, but I have to call it for now, I'm quite happy with the result and look forward to rendering more with V-ray!
